| Thank you for visiting the Woodland School website. We are one of two Pre-K to third grade elementary schools in Weston, Massachusetts. Located at the far end of Alphabet Lane, Woodland is idyllically nestled in the woods. From the walls of glass in our school we are able to observe the changing seasons, vegetation, and wildlife that surround our school. Our website offers you an opportunity to peruse our curriculum offerings, school procedures, and calendar updates. But first, we wish to take the opportunity to share the importance we place on our school culture. Our faculty and staff have a strong commitment to ensuring a healthy, positive, and industrious school culture. In our school we have photographs of our entire staff posted with a quote from Roland Barth’s book Improving Schools from Within, “The longer I am in schools, the more I am convinced the relationship among the adults in a school has more to do with the success and achievement of the students than any other factor.” It is our strong sense that it s the adults’ collaboration and collegial relationships that help optimize the school day for our children and their learning.
