Welcome to Hampshire/Chesterfield-Goshen Reg School Districts!
Hampshire Regional High School is a six-year comprehensive regional school (Grades 7 – 12) serving the towns of Chesterfield, Goshen, Southampton, Westhampton, and Williamsburg. Accredited by New England Association of Schools and Colleges our enrollment in 2012 – 2013 (Grades 9 – 12) is 521 with a senior class (Class of 2013) of 118.
The Hampshire Regional District was formed by the initial member towns in 1962. The original high school building was completed in 1971 with a recent addition that significantly expanded and updated school facilities.
The mission of Hampshire Regional High School is to empower students to be capable and confident and prepared to meet the challenges of life. In partnership with our five towns, we create a supportive and respectful environment that fosters cooperation, critical thinking, and creativity. We encourage our students to explore opportunities that develop the knowledge and skills needed to be lifelong learners and responsible participants in society.

School staff are currently involved in the process of completing their NEASC self-study in preparation for its onsite accreditation visit in 2016. Central themes in the staff’s definition of their core values include: respect and consideration for human differences, integrity, accountability, academic curiosity and wonder, cultural and environmental awareness and engagement in the larger community, curiosity and continuous self-improvement, effective and purposeful communication, and fostering creativity, curiosity, and intellectual exploration in life-long learning.

HRHS has a proud history of academic, athletic, and arts accomplishment and distinction. In the performing arts: dozens of students successfully audition for and participate in Western District and All-State ensembles, both the band and chorus have won awards at music festivals, our spring musicals receive rave reviews, there is a student run a cappella group, and there are numerous community concerts to further connect our students with member towns. Wrestling, soccer, basketball, softball, track/cross county, and baseball form the core of the school’s athletic program with cooperative opportunities with Easthampton Public Schools for swimming, ice hockey and football.
Hampshire Regional High School was recently named to the national AP Honor Roll by the College Board for expanding access to Advanced Placement courses. We are the only school in Hampshire County named to this year’s national AP District Honor Roll. The goal to meet the needs of all students is demonstrated by the presence of a cooperative program between the prestigious Clarke School for the Deaf in Northampton and HRHS which integrates students with moderate to severe hearing loss into all aspects of school life and learning.
We are located in Westhampton, Massachusetts in the Connecticut River Valley, 100 miles west of Boston and 27 miles northwest of Springfield. Our towns are small middle income communities located in Hampshire County, home of Amherst College, Hampshire College, Mount Holyoke College, Smith College, and the University of Massachusetts.
