| In support of teaching and learning the middle school continues to connect assessment of student work with curriculum standards and instruction. Over the past six years the middle school faculty have developed beliefs about assessment of student work that promote expectations for students in advance of instruction. The Middle School faculty believes that students are part of the assessment process, different approaches should be applied to assessment of student work, not every assessment needs to be perfect but students should be allowed to learn from their mistakes. | |||||||||||||||||||
